FAQs

Q: Will my insurance cover my treatment?

We accept most insurance plans, and many times, your insurance will cover all or a portion of your treatment. Just let us know what type of insurance you have and we’ll fill out all the paperwork and handle the logistics.

Q: How long is treatment?

Treatment length varies depending on your needs. Promises New Jersey  alcohol and drug rehab is not a typical time-based treatment program. Instead, treatment completion is based on clinical progress. Your treatment plan is individualized and continually updated. Discharge planning also occurs throughout the course of addiction treatment. You’ll work alongside an aftercare planner who can support you with referrals to sober housing options and continued outpatient treatment based on clinical recommendations from your treatment team.

Q: Can my family be involved in treatment?

Absolutely. We encourage the support of family members during your treatment. Family therapy via person or in phone is part of your treatment at Promises New Jersey drug rehab and we also offer a special family session. “Family” can include any person you consider significant in your recovery.

Q: Will I be able to communicate with my family during treatment?

Families are contacted within the first couple of days after you admit to Promises New Jersey  drug and alcohol rehab. Your primary therapist maintains regular contact with them throughout treatment. After a seven-day adjustment period and as clinically appropriate, you are able to speak with your family daily. We also offer weekly family therapy and a special family session. Upon completion of the family session, you are able to spend a day outside of treatment with your family on a day pass.

Q: What is the seven-day adjustment period?

Upon admission to Promises New Jersey  addiction rehab center, you have an initial seven-day adjustment period during which you are restricted from contacting family and friends. This adjustment period provides the necessary space and time for you to acclimate to the program, as well as physically and mentally settle into treatment. The adjustment period is also a time of healthy separation, which allows you and your support system to evaluate your own individualized behaviors and emotions without outside distractions.

Q: What if my family cannot attend the family session?

If your family cannot attend the session on campus, there is an option for them to call in on the telephone and the family session is conducted in the group room in the same manner; however, a speakerphone takes the physical place of where the family would have been in the group room.

If your family does not want to attend the family session and there isn’t another supportive person who will attend, we will conduct a “mock” family session wherein other clients will stand in as your family members and engage in a role-play. The “mock” family session is conducted in the same manner as an actual family session with the group and the therapists, allowing you to address familial issues in the absence of your actual family members.

Q: I don’t have a car. How can I get to Promises New Jersey drug rehab?

We can assist with transportation arrangements, if needed, and provide complimentary pickup within NJ and PA. If outside of this area, we may arrange for your pickup and safe return home with one of our outside transportation services.

Q: Can I smoke?

Yes, in designated areas and at certain times.

Q. Why do you have a specialized opiate addiction track?

Due to the epidemic of opioid prescription painkiller addiction and heroin abuse in this geographical area, we began seeing several opiate addicted adults. Our response was to cater to the specific needs of our client population. We recognized we had to do things differently, to take an individualized, humanistic, out-of-the box approach in order to help these clients.

Q. Is opiate addiction treatment only for a certain age group?

No. Sometimes there are several clients at Promises New Jersey  drug and alcohol rehab who are in the 18-25 age range and using opiates. However, our clients range in age from 18 into their 60s, male and female, abusing all types of drugs. This is where our social learning model comes into play.

Q. Do you only treat clients from the New Jersey area?

No. Promises New Jersey drug rehab treats clients from all over the country, but particularly from New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland. Many clients end up staying in the area living in local sober housing and attending outpatient programming at Promises New Jersey addiction treatment center. As a result, there is a strong alumni base that offers sober peer support for one another. In addition, we work with clients through multiple levels of care, fostering a safe and loving environment for long-term addiction recovery.

Q: What if I need drug or alcohol detox?

We provide referrals for medically monitored detox services. This ensures the detox period is as comfortable and safe as possible. Medical alcohol and drug detox includes round-the-clock medical monitoring and the use of evidence-based medications to ease withdrawal symptoms as clinically appropriate. Once detox is complete, we provide a seamless transition into one of our outpatient alcohol and drug treatment programs.

Q. I don’t live in the area. Where will I stay while getting treatment at Promises New Jersey drug rehab?

Our admissions advisers can refer you to safe and comfortable sober living facilities nearby. Sober living residences can be a valuable component of recovery. They offer support from peers in recovery who share similar challenges and often have clinical staff onsite.
